The Ceremony

STUNNING LOCATION

Straddling the border of Shropshire and Mid Wales, set within 10 acres of stunning peaceful countryside, you and your guests will be mesmerized by the stunning 360 degree far reaching views. The exclusive venue is only accessible via a romantic ancient track between two fields, literally in the middle of nowhere, no surrounding village, just fields and lazy winding lanes.

If your thoughts are wondering about accessibility and accommodation fear not while the venue sits in a tranquil spot there is ample private parking for all the guests and suppliers. A choice of hotels are located about 4 miles away in the nearest town of Welshpool, in addition a host of B&B's and Log cabins discretely surround the local area.

Within a stones throw sits a romantic ancient black and white Church , a fantastic opportunity for brides looking to include the church ceremony or blessing.

Black & White Church

St Mary's Church, Trelystan is the ONLY timber framed church in Wales, built on a barrow, and has connections to Welsh Princes of old, so the history here is ancient, dating back to the Domesday Book!

Much later, in 1485, Trelystan stunning vantage point was the muster point of the Welsh army of Henry Tudor (King Henry VII) led by his famous military commander Sir Rhys ap Thomas. They marched from there to Bosworth Field, where they defeated King Richard III

The church with its arched braced roof and flagstone floor is built of a single chamber with a south facing porch and west belfry.

There is nothing quite like a traditional church ceremony or blessing to celebrate your magical wedding day with all your friends and family.

Surrounded by ancient yew trees and panoramic scenic views, the black and white church with its traditional pews and stained glass windows comfortably seats around 100 guests. 144 guest have been known (at a squeeze)

Our venue package includes everything you need for your wedding celebration - just add the following ideas : Food - choose your own catering company, bring your own food or we can help you choose from street food, BBQ, Hog Roast everything to the formal caterers. Your Music - add your own favourite live band or DJ to get the party into full swing or simply download you chosen play list and plug into our PA system. The Bar - Choose your own bar mobile service. Decor - Add your own sparkle or we can help you - Some caterers include napkins and tablecloths otherwise you will need to bring some along. Guests - Add as many guests as you like (up to 150). Create your dream day within a fabulous setting and venue - all without costing the earth!!

Wedding Venue Location

We have booked our wedding with Janet - a little way off but I am so excited to be getting married here. Nothing is too much trouble for Janet and her husband who have been so supportive. They have worked with us and helped and given ideas and supported our ideas for our wedding day. I was able to go back with our wedding caterers and my parents who also fell in love with it but I cannot wait to go back even though I don't need too I'd happily return every weekend just to see it! Thank you Janet for everything you've done so far - I cannot wait to work with you more leading up to the wedding day.

Where do we begin! Janet and Keith have been nothing but perfect from start to finish. We had to rearrange twice due to Covid, and we finally got married on the 28/8/21. Both times we had to rearrange our previous dates, they completely put us at ease and helped us to move our date without any hesitation. They helped us with planning, ideas, even understanding the legal side of things. Every time we attended church on a Sunday, both Janet & Keith were always totally happy to give up their Sunday afternoon to show us around again and chat about the planning. The day couldn’t have run any smoother. Janet and Keith just sorted EVERYTHING. They slotted in like part of our family, whilst keeping professional and over seeing everything ALL day! They were still there at 11pm on the night of the wedding helping me put the hog roast stuff away! 😂 Janet was even seen helping me untangle my dress a few times! There wasn’t a single thing that was too big of an issue. We will be forever grateful for them helping to make our wedding day so extra special. We trusted them throughout and would do it all over again. Thank you so much both. We look forward to catching up over a cup of tea soon.

Shared one of my best days of my life here. Shared one of my best days of my life here. Got married her on the 14th of August to my beautiful partner. I can't compliment the place enough. What a fantastic set up, church and reception all in one with a beautiful view for miles. Very reasonably priced for what you get and nothing is to much hassle. There are kitchen facilities and toilets on site but this is up to you if you use them. We ordered a luxury loo from Powys Luxury Loos hire, I recommend this if you have 100 + guests Must say a massive big thank you to Janet and her partner they both whent above and beyond to make our special day.

Absolutely fantastic! We cannot recommend quaint country weddings highly enough as a wedding venue. They are absolutely fantastic! We had a magical wedding day here. The venue is stunning, the views are breathtaking and the atmosphere that venue has really is like no other. The venue owners Janet and Keith are some of the nicest people we have ever met. Every step of the way they have been so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make the day wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They really are amazing. We had another wedding at a different venue planned in 2020 which was cancelled due to COVID which led to us replanning the day and coming across quaint country weddings which we had not discovered before. We are so grateful we found them! They really are very different to to all the other venues we have looked at. They really do give you such an ability to create a personal and individual day, something we did not feel we had with other venues. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is interested. We had so much fun from start to finish, the days before setting up, the wedding day and the next day packing up were all so special and fun. It really is the best venue!
